Cookies aren't deleted?
You see every lot of cookies in the Internet Explorer and are surprised that Firestorm doesn't delete these?
This is probably no fault but intention. Firestorm as of version 8 treats cookies different from older versions in the Internet Explorer and other Internet access programs (browser).
Firestorm only looks in the standard setting, that is after the installation, for cookies which point to advertising or harmful sides.
In der Standardeinstellung, also nach der Installation, sucht Firestorm nur nach Cookies, die auf Werbung oder schädliche Seiten hinweisen. If he finds well-known pattern, these are shown and marked also directly for deleting. Unknown cookies remain untouched.
This shall prevent that approximately Login data of internet pages or other important cookies are deleted. However, doing what if one liked to have the other cookies deleted nevertheless? You also can do this. Start Firestorm and on the start window click on "Settings" below. Select the register card "Cookies" in the seeming dialog. Check mark the option "Search all cookies of the Internet Explorer". You save these settings by pressing "Save and Close" in this window.
At the next search Firestorm will list all cookies in the result tree. But these cookies aren't check marked for deletion automatically and can not be deleted at this moment. You should select cookies no more required by hand now. At the next optimization these are removed.
Moreover, it is new to delete all cookies immediately. In this case all check marks will be created automatically to delete them during the next optimization.
It is important to say, that each cookie file will be compared with the Excluded Objects List. You can leave cookies of the reconnaissance aside to not delete these.
Sample: If you want to save all cookies of "Ebay", you have nothing more to do as to enter "ebay" to the Excluded Objects List.
